- The story goes that in the 17th century, old Sir Hugues regained his strength and health after immersing himself in the warm waters of the Bagnoles de l’Orne Normandie spring. In 1907, the spring was declared to be of public utility and its therapeutic benefits were recognized in thermal medicine, particularly in rheumatology, phlebology and gynecology.
- Water springs from the earth in the thermal spa buildings — a unique and beneficial source of water which has filtered for centuries through the deep rocks, slowly acquiring its mineral constituents. Its richness in trace elements and low heavy mineral content confer therapeutic properties with a reputation second to none.
